Tech Support
We updated our Default Videos grabber to v7, which now enables support for any site that is implicitly supported by yt-dlp library. In order to see sites that are supported please go here: https://github.com/yt-dlp/yt-dlp/tree/master/yt_dlp/extractor For sites that have special grabbers in KVS it is better to use their special grabbers rather than default one, as they normally provide more features. PS: the grabber will be updated automatically, no need to wait for KVS update to have this.
mixporn
And when will we get the new Graber update?
Tech Support
All the grabbers are updated automatically by KVS, no need to do anything manually.
AyBrayBray
That is awesome! Do we have to add the grabber in there because when I try to do the manual grabber and use one of the sites from the list it says "No Grabber Found"
Tech Support
Yes, you need to install default grabber from KVS repository.
Jim
In the github link there is a page with "major sites" listed eg facebook, instagram etc Is there a list of tubesites that the default video grabber works on, or can anyone share sites they have tried successfully/unsuccessfully? Jim
I'm not sure if this is a definitive or correct list: https://ytdl-org.github.io/youtube-dl/supportedsites.html
Jim
Or this: https://github.com/ytdl-org/youtube-dl/blob/master/docs/supportedsites.md
Tech Support
Yes, both lists are the same.
chown
Is it possible to grab all 3 formats (if the site has all 3) instead of just grabbing the highest quality that way we don't have to re-encode them all?
Tech Support
Not possible with default grabber. You should create a custom grabber then:
