The thumbnail images on the website appear to be of poor quality.

Size and quality options of thumbnails are defined in Settings -> Screenshot formats. Then if you want to create another screenshot format you need to select it in Website UI -> Theme settings, so that theme switched to displaying the new format.

The ratio is defined in this file:

backface-visibility: hidden;
}

.list-playlists .img {
width: 100%;
padding-bottom: 56.25%;
position: relative;
}

The
padding-bottom: 56.25%;

need to be changed to 51.28% for your thumb size ratio.
