We don't have much SEO expertise in KVS, but situations when domain is not indexed at all or very poorly could indicate that either your server / provider / network / domain is blacklisted for some reason (due to spam, or black seo). Try googling into that direction, and if there are any tools that you can use to check it.

Other way would be to pay for some premium SEO tool that analyzes your site and provides recommendations. Something like this: https://www.semrush.com/

Ty for the link to semrush.com. I have used seoblity.net. There seem to be many sites like this around and I suspect they mostly do similar analysis/audit/reports. There are certainly improvements to make but nothing that would be a reasonable explanation for zero url discovery in 2 months.

The site is hosted via cloudflare which shouldn't cause a problem I expect? There has been no attempted seo practice that could be risky in terms of blacklisting. Only focus has been to get Google indexing underway.

look at you robots.txt maybe something wrong with it , iy happen to me too

Ty for suggestion. I haven't made any changes to the robots.txt file so it is the same as when KVS set up the site. SEO auditseems to say that crawlers are not obstructed. What item did you have in your robots.txt file that was causing the problem?

4 days to week , google search console will start discover urls, next week will start index page.
for index website its take By the number of pages of website , if you have thousands or ten thousands of pages its will take 2-3 months, but small website maybe days.

i have more than website , there is websites that have ten thousands of pages.
for me , after i add my website sitemap to google search console its take just month for google  to discover 50k URLs, and 40k not- ndexed page, 3k indexed page.
Note for you my friend : indexed pages its not mean that google will show all indexed page on google search , i have 3k indexed page but i have just 20-50 page in google search, im just a month there.

and no i didnt encounter any issues with KVS generated html or use of the Google Search Console that affected the Google.

    Good luck!

So 2 months now and not a single URL discovered according to the Google sitemap report page.

KVS say the sitemap is rendered correctly, but some aspect of the site does appear to be unattractive to Google for some reason.

There are no intructions in the KVS documentation for modifying/optimizing the sitemap.

After a month of the sitemap Google search console says no URLs discovered. Did you change any default settings on the KVS sitemap page?

Did you put the sitemap URL in the robots.txt file?

  5. It would be interesting to hear how you rate Fastpanel for hosting KVS sites. Do the KVS sites stay online generally or are they prone to going offline? Do Fastpanel provide good support?

Any feedback on using Plesk, cPanel or any other software to manage servers with KVS sites would be interesting to know please?

  6. Ok so the directories can be sorted after in batches.

To edit the title in the database, the default view of the title column shows only a very narrow column. Please could you advise how to increase the width of the title display so it is readily readable? (switching columns on/off from the display seems ok but I can't see how the width is adjusted)

    Thank you

  7. When the video title is changed on the KVS video edit page the directory is updated by KVS automatically to also align. Correct?

If instead the video title is edited directly in the database will KVS detect the change and auto update the directory also? If not what would be the recommended approach to generate the new directory to align with the new title?

  8. Does anyone use FastPanel. I have a server setup with FastPanel but nginx is not listed as a service on the panel which makes the panel seem a surprising choice to use with the KVS software?

Hestia has been mentioned to me - does this provide management of the services/modules/settings required by the KVS software?

    https://hestiacp.com/

aaPanel is another one mentioned to me, does this provide management of the services/modules/settings required by the KVS software?

    https://www.aapanel.com/index.html

plesk and cpanel don't seem to support the modules and settings required by the KVS software, it would be interesting to hear if anyone uses them successfully?

  9. Hi Emilia, Thanks for the feedback, I am new to this so it is interesting to hear of your experience. I sense the KVS software does have potential but there is a lot to learn!

It looks like you can encode approx up 10k videos per week so even with your investment in conversion servers it takes quite a while to build up content on your site? Why did you decide to upload video content rather than just embed which would be much quicker?

I am just experimenting with a single content server right now. It seems to be underpowered for conversion so I have set it to download multiple video qualities rather than a single source file and then convert. It seems very slow though! For now I have restricted targeted videos to max duration 20mins.

Your 11 dedicated conversion servers - these all encode video from a main storage server? Is it correct that these 11 servers would each have an IP address, no domain name and purely receive/send files with the main storage server ie do not serve or publish content to website users at all?

Do you find your 11 conversion servers are fully utilised ie not waiting to receive source files from the main storage server?

To use conversion servers I understand a KVS Ultimate license for the main content server? Does the KVS software need to be installed on each conversion server and is a KVS license required for each conversion server?

This is an interesting project certainly!
