Hello, I'm having an issue enabling numbered pagination for search result, such as when searching for query without using Ajax, if I use /search/?q=example the pagination shows /search/2/, /search/3/ etc without specifying the actual query and when I use /search/example/ the pagination shows /search/example/2/ and so on and so forth but just shows a 404 error. How would I fix this? Thanks.

Hello, If you're starting out it can be difficult to gain traffic as the best method is through high quality backlinks but obviously most webmasters won't offer them to low traffic websites as it won't benefit their own website much. I recommend you firstly make sure your website is mobile-friendly/responsive, and SEO optimized with lots of quality content and a community and keep building upon that while trying to gain backlinks. It's also a good idea to try and utilize social media such as Twitter or Tumblr as much as necessary to advertise your website. Once you're fully happy with the stance of your website, just let it grow naturally through organic searches, etc. I wouldn't pay for any mass backlinks as usually they aren't worth it and may penalize your rank, plus they usually aren't very targeted. If you haven't tried already, I recommend asking ThePornDude about backlinking, as that is a very established website which does that exact kind of thing if your website is deemed good enough. I'm sure if you put the effort in and keep updating with fresh content, it will do well.
