Many x industry webmaster are using KVS professionally. This is a great chance to create personal relationships with other kvs users, other hosting companies that provide servers for kvs.. and, as a bonus, there is a good chance that Stan from kvs will be there as well. :) is it worth it? 1000% for me.

It seems that you are more interested into offshore servers than having difficulties managing these ;) .. it is ok.. mostly x industry is like this, if you don't find ways to get video content with rights to publish it on your tubes

It would be great to meet KVS users that have found the ways how to deal with traffic you both are getting. .. a friend of mine @Westcircle is also coming (his tube network is getting around 2.5 mil/month) -- I am planning to take a small stand there > I plan to attend both European TES conventions every year and will start offering KVS multi-server setup solutions.

[Update] Added new folders on conversion servers "/conversion2", created new corn jobs and added new conversion servers at the kvs dashboard (used the same servers and the same FTP users). All good now. .. magic ------- p.s. what are the best approaches for the hosting companies working with kvs clients on getting some basic support from kvs within reasonable expected time? emails, tickets, or something else? tx

Good morning, On one of the KVS site' s both remote conversion servers did run just fine, today these are returning errors. No system changes have been done. scr: -- The same conversion servers (both of them) continue working like a charm on another kvs website. -- What would be the most common issue, please? Yes, you are talking about a Local solution (not a Remote conv. server), is it? Let us say, a person has the multi-server setup tube network, and he/she needs to save costs today (we all have been in situations like these) > this would allow to cut costs significantly on a conversion server. .. and, once the temporary money issue is resolved > he/she can move back into 1 or 2 conversion servers for his tube network without any difficulties. .. just one of the scenarios. .. temporary storage server would be potentially more complicated.. would it? hmm.. it would be really interesting to do a case study of loads on servers when business uses or doesn't use remote conversion servers. .. are there any? .. most probably, you guys at kvs have done some.. have you? :) just thinking loud.

although.. just remembered the case of naughtykingz > a new webmaster will come in with 200k videos and will overload the shared conversion server that the other users would be struggling.. how such a thing could be restricted?

please respect this thought as just a thought: has anybody tried offering shared conversion server offers? I am thinking to do a test: take 2 or 3 dedicated servers, and offer shared kvs conversion server packages. something like: 6 people max per server and £27 per person/month and no setup fees. a crazy idea? it would probably be good to have small closed TG groups for these people that they can agree among themselves the times they need for larger jobs. have you thought about it before? any more ideas? unamanaged dedicated kvs sever for adult (without copyright issues) - ovh semi-managed servers > check our kvs Partners page (out of whom mojohost is the gold standard) or dm me what many miss, there are new webmasters who go all crazy without respecting copyrights > these need shady offshore dmca ignored hosting companies (the issue is = these companies are as unreliable as their webmasters) -- the issue with ovh > very slow support if you don't pay for decent support. .. yes, and you don't want them or us start getting lots of dmca requests. .. hopefully this helps H p.s. just in a case > be professional, respect the future scalability needs and go for the multi-server setups > you will need the Ultimate licence! .. of course, if you can afford this
